After we’ve made your filter, you’ll need to submit it to Snapchat; so make sure you check out this video on how to do it. Don’t worry, it’s super easy!
Here are a few important things you should know when brainstorming a custom Snapchat geofilter.
- no photos of people
- no phone numbers, emails, URLs, snapcodes or social media usernames(aka the @ symbol)
- no hastags 🙁
- currently only available in the US, UK, Australia, Brazil and Canada
Snapchat charges a minimum of $5 per filter that you submit. The cost will go up, depending on how big of an area you want the filter to cover and for how long. You can run a filter for up to 30 days straight. You’ll be able to easily map out the geo location, the day and the timeframe that you want the filter to be available to you and your guests.
If your super-interested, you can find the full submission guidelines here.
He’s a short list of what you might want on your custom geofilter:
- you and your fiance’s names
